How Does Coolsculpting Elite Work?
CoolSculpting Elite works by “freezing” fat cells or bringing them to a lower temperature than they can live through.

This process is precise and leaves surrounding tissues and cells unharmed while freezing underlying fat. Your body then naturally eliminates the frozen fat through the liver, gradually shrinking the treated area over the course of 4-6 months.
What to Expect During
Coolsculpting Elite
Coolsculpting Elite is a simple in-office fat reduction treatment that the board-certified dermatologists at our medical clinic can perform in 25-60 minutes without anesthesia.
Depending on the treatment area, you will either be seated on a reclining chair or lying on your stomach. Your doctors will apply a cool gel pad, then an applicator that resembles a vacuum hose will use a suction technique on the target area.
You may feel uncomfortable from the cold during treatment, but this sensation should last around just 10 minutes, at which point the area should be numb.
The carefully regulated cooling plates will bring fat cells down to a temperature where they are permanently damaged without harming other cells. After using the applicator, your dermatologist will massage the area in order to encourage the breakdown of dead fat cells.
Over a period of 3 weeks, you will begin to notice your results as your body flushes away the damaged fat cells, which will continue for 4-6 months.
Right after your body contouring treatment, you may experience some temporary side effects. These are normal but vary in intensity depending on the person:
- Firmness or stiffness, tenderness, cramping or muscle spasms, and aching in the treated area
- Redness or whiteness, bruising, swelling, and numbness at the application site
- Skin sensitivity, itching, tingling, stinging, and numbness
