Yong Ming Li, MD, PhD

Dr. Li is a board certified dermatopathologist and general pathologist with extensive training in clinical pathology, surgical pathology and skin pathology, as well as molecular immunology. He graduated from Liaoning TCM College in China with a MD and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a PhD. In addition to medical research experience, he completed his residency training at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island and fellowship at Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology/ Columbia University.

Under microscope, Dr. Li examines skin biopsy tissue taken from patients by dermatologists and provides specific diagnosis. He has extensive experience and often serves as a consultant for other physicians in diagnosing various skin diseases such as benign tumor, malignant tumor, and inflammatory conditions. In some cases, the microscopic diagnosis provides crucial information for the clinical management of your skin problems by your dermatologist.
